Therapy for Athletes and High Achievers
Peak performance isn’t only physical — it’s psychological. Brynne provides specialized therapy for athletes and high achievers who want to strengthen their mental foundation, improve performance under pressure, and create lasting emotional resilience.

Her work focuses on insight-based depth therapy, which addresses the underlying patterns that influence confidence, motivation, relationships, and stress. Rather than offering surface-level coping tools alone, this approach helps clients understand why they respond the way they do and how to create meaningful, sustainable change.

Clients seek therapy for a wide range of concerns, including:
-
Performance anxiety and fear of failure
-
Burnout and chronic stress
-
Depression and loss of motivation
-
Confidence issues
-
Identity outside of achievement
-
Injury or career transitions
-
Relationship strain
-
Perfectionism and self-criticism
-
Emotional regulation under pressure
-
Life balance and long-term sustainability
Therapy is not about reducing ambition. It’s about strengthening the psychological systems that allow high performers to function at their best without sacrificing well-being.
Insight-based Depth Therapy
This work goes beyond symptom management. Insight-based therapy explores the emotional history, conditioning, and unconscious patterns that shape how you perform, relate, and cope.

By increasing awareness, clients gain the ability to:
-
Break recurring performance blocks
-
Change unhelpful behavioral patterns
-
Strengthen emotional regulation
-
Improve focus and decision-making
-
Build sustainable motivation
-
Develop resilience under pressure

The goal is not short-term relief alone, but long-term structural change that supports both performance and personal well-being.
Individual Therapy Format
Sessions are collaborative, direct, and tailored to the needs of high performers. Therapy can be short-term and goal-focused or long-term and exploratory depending on what you’re seeking.

Many clients use therapy to:
-
Prepare for competitions or high-stakes events
-
Navigate career transitions
-
Recover from setbacks or injuries
-
Address anxiety or depression
-
Improve leadership and communication
-
Maintain psychological health during demanding seasons

Treatment plans are individualized and evolve as progress is made.
How and Why Brynne Works With Athletes and High Achievers Struggling With Anxiety
Athletes and high achievers experience anxiety differently than the general population. Many are highly disciplined, externally successful, and trained to push through discomfort. That same drive that fuels performance can also mask chronic stress, fear of failure, and emotional overload.

Brynne specializes in therapy for athletes and high achievers because anxiety in this population is often misunderstood. High performers rarely struggle from lack of motivation — they struggle from carrying too much pressure without a place to process it. Over time, untreated anxiety can interfere with confidence, focus, sleep, relationships, and long-term performance.

This work is not about reducing ambition or lowering standards. It’s about helping high performers understand how anxiety operates in their nervous system and psychology so they can function at a high level without being controlled by fear.

Through insight-based depth therapy, we examine the patterns that drive anxiety: perfectionism, identity tied to achievement, fear of disappointing others, and internalized expectations. When these patterns become conscious, athletes and high achievers gain more choice in how they respond under pressure.

Clients often report:
-
Reduced performance anxiety
-
Greater emotional regulation during high-stakes moments
-
Increased confidence and self-trust
-
Improved focus and recovery after mistakes
-
Relief from chronic overthinking
-
More sustainable motivation
-
A stronger identity beyond performance

The goal is not to eliminate stress — stress is part of high performance. The goal is to change the relationship to anxiety so it becomes manageable, informative, and no longer debilitating.
High performers don’t need less drive. They need psychological support that matches the intensity of their environment.

Virtual and In-Person Therapy Options
Most services are conducted virtually, allowing athletes and high achievers to access therapy consistently regardless of travel, training schedules, or competition demands. Virtual therapy provides privacy, flexibility, and continuity of care — essential for clients whose lives don’t fit into traditional office hours.

In-person sessions are available depending on timing and availability. Meetings may be held in Gravity Haus shared office spaces, which provide a professional setting; however, privacy may vary depending on the layout of each location.

For athletes who benefit from support within real-world performance environments, I also offer on-site services. Therapy sessions can be conducted at practices, training camps, or competitions when appropriate and requested by the athlete. That said, in-person environments are often best suited for performance coaching services, where real-time observation and integration into training can enhance skill development and psychological performance work.

Walk-and-talk and on-snow therapy sessions are available for clients who prefer movement-based sessions. This format can support nervous system regulation, reduce pressure, and allow conversations to unfold more naturally.

All services are tailored to the individual. The goal is to provide therapy and performance support that fits the realities of an athlete or high achiever’s life — not the other way around.
Coaching & Consulting
In addition to therapy, Brynne provides performance coaching and consulting for athletes, teams, and high-achieving professionals who want targeted psychological support focused on performance, leadership, and mental resilience.
Coaching and consulting are action-oriented services designed to enhance performance rather than treat mental health conditions. This work focuses on applied mental training, emotional regulation under pressure, communication dynamics, and decision-making in high-stakes environments. Many clients use coaching to sharpen competitive mindset, prepare for major events, navigate career transitions, or strengthen leadership presence.
Brynne consults with individual athletes, teams, and organizations to address culture, performance pressure, and psychological sustainability. This may include on-site support at practices or competitions, performance strategy sessions, coach-athlete communication work, and guidance around burnout prevention and recovery.
The goal of coaching and consulting is to help high performers operate with greater clarity, confidence, and psychological efficiency — strengthening the mental systems that support elite output without sacrificing long-term well-being.
Coaching and consulting services are distinct from psychotherapy and do not involve diagnosis or mental health treatment. Clients seeking therapy are supported through clinical services, while coaching clients engage in performance-focused psychological training.
